All staff

Pls submit all outstanding claims and final Section accounts/project budgets by c.o.p. Wednesday at the latest. We cannot guarantee settlement of claims after this unless there are mitigating circumstances.

If you think that's a tall order, be thankful we're not at the Auswärtiges Amt. We see the tangerine twerp handed over a manufactured invoice for £300bn to Frau Merkel for their NATO 'underspend'! #DiplomaticIncident

N.B.  Despite our modest projected underspend, this is NOT an injunction to go on a last minute spending orgy. After all. We're diplomats, not DFID contractors.

Or we think that's what the boss said as he left for an emergency meeting with the Ambo. Something about the QBP last week. No idea. We were working late. Drivers and security guards still talking about it tho. Go figure...
